About

Welcome to Wild Natura where you can find a wide array of information regarding animals and how they fit into our human-world.

I chose to study natural science concentrations due to my fascination with living creatures of all forms. Resultingly, I have two B.S. degrees in Biology and Ecology as well as a M.S. in Recreation Sciences with a concentration in Conservation Psychology.

From the numerous classes and experiences gained in these degrees, a generally consistent perspective on the natural world became apparent to me. Many who teach and study the natural world hold the traditional outlook that humans and nature are two distinct and opposing entities. To be in the wilderness is to be away from human development. Humans, in their growth, have conquered nature. While it is factually understood that humans are animals which come from the natural world, societally humans consider themselves somehow above it.

Here I hope to explore what the natural world means to us and hopefully share my love for it in the process. It is my hope to some day make a difference in wildlife conservation and involving the public in these efforts can make the difference!
